Meno & Perimeno

Perimenopause & Menopause symptoms are very similar, although these may be more noticeable at different times. Symptoms start to happen because your body is reacting to falling levels of hormones (estrogen, progesterone & testosterone) in particular Estrogen.

Perimenopause is the time when transitioning starts before the official menopause phase. You may still have periods but there might be some changes such as, more or less regular or how heavy or light. For many women this can happen several years before periods stop altogether.

Menopause occurs when you’ve stopped producing the hormones that cause your menstrual period and you have gone without a period for 12 consecutive months.
